Virginia Tech vs. Wake Forest

Both Virginia Tech and Wake Forest pitched shutouts on Saturday, with the Hokies beating Kent State 23-0 and the Demon Deacons demolishing Florida State 30-0. These two teams look to be pretty evenly matched, and it should be a real good one. Who wins?

Talking Re: Virginia Tech vs. Wake Forest

With Ore running and Pace kicking (19-0), and lets not forget the ACC's #1 Defense, I'd have to give this one to the Hokies.

Besides, it would be pure sacrealige for me to say otherwise.

lol, then I'll say it. I think Wake takes this one. VT's just not up to their full potential this year. And Wake's shutout of FSU was pretty impressive.

My pick:
Virginia Tech: 18
Wake Forest: 23

Re: Virginia Tech vs. Wake Forest

If that had been the Noles from a few years back, I'd be more impressed, granted WF has suprised alot of people this season. I think they'll play GT for the ACC title. Watching Bobby's boys get shut out at home was the best, the only way it could have been better is if it were Miami that had the honor.

Yes the Hokies are young this year, but Glennon is coming along quite nicely, Brandon Ore Rocks (love to see him have another 200+ game against WF), and Pace is kicking 100% accurate.

The Hokies sould be a force to be reckoned with in '07.

Re: Virginia Tech vs. Wake Forest

Hokies looking good right now.

27 - 6 over Wake Forrest with just a couple minutes to go.

Re: Virginia Tech vs. Wake Forest

Va.Tech beats Wake Forest, Cincinnati is schooling Rutgers, does it get any better than this.

I honestly expected the Hokies to have a rough time against Wake Forest, was I ever pleasently suprised. Other than Ore getting injured early in the game, it was an excellent game. Glennon is improving with every snap, and they played some real Bud Foster "D". Bring on UVA.

How badly hurt is Ore? Tech shouldn't need him against Virginia, but depending on their bowl game...

I haven't been able to find out for sure. Beamer's being real closed mouth on this one, which concerns me. I think its a sprain, and he should be ok by bowl time. I was real happy to see that the Hokies could win without him. Lewis did a good job of picking up the slack.
