| Clemson vs. Virginia Tech Talk about two college football teams going in different directions! The Clemson Tigers rolled over Georgia Tech, 31-7, on Saturday. Virginia Tech, meanwhile, was once unbeaten and ranked 11th in the country. Now they have two losses and are just trying to salvage the season. I look for the Tigers to win big over the Hokies in this Thursday evening game. What are your predictions?

| Re: Clemson vs. Virginia Tech I think that Thursday night is an open for both teams. I am not going to lie, Clemson looks good. It is going to be a tough game for both teams. I am finally proud of Beamer because he announced that he is going to play Glennon and Whitaker in the game. I have been fed up with Glennon. He needs Whitaker to back him up. I think that if both quarterbacks remain calm and don't have any stupid mistakes and Steinspring doesn't get so predictable like he always does, than the Hokies should pull away. They have made many changes over the past two weeks and have grown a lot. |

| Re: Clemson vs. Virginia Tech I am not as worried about shutting down the passing game. Va Tech has tremendous speed in the secondary, including Aaron Rouse, Macho Harris, and Brandon Flowers, and has really developed in working together to cover each other. They will be able to shut down the deep passing game. They will have to watch for the short passes and passes across the middle. Adibi and Hall have to be able to have some zone defense to prevent a reciever from cutting across the middle. That is their weakness. Tech has looked sloppy at tackling. They need some drills this week to learn to wrap up the runner and drive him down. They are missing too many tackles. They are fine at stopping the outside run because of the speed of the defense, they just need to be able to bottle up the inside and not give Davis any holes to run through. As for the offense, the young o-line needs to step it up and give Glennon a pocket. If the pocket collapses, Glennon collapses. He is a pocket passer and when he is pressured, he either is sacked, fumbles the ball, or throws an int. If they bring the blitz, he will need to recognize it and give off a quick pass to an open wide out. He will need to be able to read the field. Whitaker will provide some release for Glennon to give him some breaks. But the one key thing the coaching staff should do is give the ball to the playmaker on the field. And that person is Brandon Ore. He has tremendous talent and has many years to come. He needs to touch that ball constantly. When he has the ball, they have the game. |

| Re: Clemson vs. Virginia Tech Wow, how about this? It's 24-7 Hokies with about 11 minutes to go in the contest. That awesome Clemson offense? Held to 137 total yards (56 running, 81 passing) thus far in the game. Davis is averaging 2.8 yards per carry and Proctor is completing just 43.5% of his passes. Must be a heck of a performance from the Va. Tech defense! And Brandon Ore has run for 190 yards and a pair of TDs for the Hokies offense. |

| Re: Clemson vs. Virginia Tech Hokies are just puttin a whoopin on the soon-to-be not #10 Clemson Tigers. But hard to keep up swapping between this & WS Game #4 in St Louis.
