| Vandy picks bad time to lose to Arkansas FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Vanderbilt’s seven-game winning streak was stopped Saturday, and the No. 18 Commodores’ hopes for a first-round bye in the upcoming Southeastern Conference Tournament may have come to a similar end with their 78-73 loss to host Arkansas. With the defeat, Vanderbilt (24-5, 9-5 SEC) trails Kentucky by a game and a half for second place in the Eastern Division. To reach the number two spot, the Commodores would have to win Wednesday against visiting Mississippi State and Saturday at Alabama, then receive some help.
