Thin class benefits Bennett

Earl Bennett's first collegiate catch came three years ago against Wake Forest.
It's altogether conceivable that his final one will come this weekend against the Demon Deacons as well.
Bennett, Vanderbilt's record-setting junior receiver, could benefit from a senior-thin class at his position if he were to declare for the 2008 NFL Draft. Moreover, veteran draft analyst Mike Detillier favorably compares the Commodore to former Syracuse standout and current Indianapolis Colts receiver Marvin Harrison, who ranks sixth in NFL history in career reception yardage.
"He's not the flashiest guy around," Detillier said of Bennett. "He doesn't have the spotlight shown on him each and every weekend. But if you're looking for a sure-handed guy who makes the catch each and every week, knows how to get open, knows how to set up a defender, blocks downfield for his runners and helps set up his other receivers, that's what you have in Earl Bennett.
