| Vandy goes cautious with MAC opponent One of Vanderbilt's four wins last season was a 43-14 decision against visiting Temple, traditionally one of the nation's less successful college football programs. One of Temple's three wins this season came Saturday, a 24-17 decision over Mid-American Conference rival Miami (Ohio), the next opponent on the Commodores' schedule. It'd be easy to call Vanderbilt a prohibitive favorite in Saturday's matchup — except the Commodores were a prohibitive underdog in their last outing, an eventual 17-6 win at No. 6 South Carolina.
