| Nickson has limited action in practice Vanderbilt quarterback Chris Nickson took part in Tuesday's practice on a limited basis, participating in some drills during the two-hour session while nursing a pulled right hamstring sustained in Saturday's 24-10 loss to Alabama. Mackenzi Adams, the team's backup quarterback, took most of the snaps with the first-team offense as the Commodores began readying for Saturday's Southeastern Conference matchup with visiting Ole Miss. "He didn't do much," Vanderbilt Coach Bobby Johnson said of Nickson following practice. "He did as much as he could. We're not going to push him and risk re-injuring it."Prior to practice, Nickson was optimistic about his availability for Saturday. "I don't think it's as serious as I thought it was," he said. "I don't think it's a bad injury. I'll probably take a few snaps (today). I feel pretty confident about my recovery."
