Utah Jazz off to 7-1 start

The Utah Jazz improved to 7-1 by beating the Los Angeles Clippers 112-90 Tuesday night, not allowing a field goal for 10 minutes, 27 seconds in the second half and turning the matchup of divisional leaders into a blowout.

Best start in the NBA season, this article says. So how good are the Jazz?

This just shows how amazing a coach Jerry Sloan is. People have been sleeping on the Jazz but I recall some picking them to be a low-seed surprise in the Western playoffs.

A hot start is great and they certainly have the talent to continue.

Re: Utah Jazz off to 7-1 start

The Utah Jazz currently relax at the top of the NBA Standings. Definitely one of the surprises to start off the season, they maliciously beat the Los Angeles Clippers. But the underlying question to the article shared above is whether or not they remain in first at the conclusion of the season.

Re: Utah Jazz off to 7-1 start

They could stay in first. Does anyone here remember Sloan as a player? Oh my God! He and Norm Van Lier formed the toughest defensive pair of guards I ever saw. Johnny Most despised them, and the former Celtic announcer called them dirty at every opportunity. What a great player Sloan was, and he coaches like he played, no nonsense. I would love to see him win one title before he is done.
