The West Coast media has once again picked the USC Trojans as the favorites to win the Pac-10, but Cal seems to be closing the gap. According to the AP, "USC garnered 18 of 29 first-place votes in a preseason poll... Overall, the Trojans totaled 276 points -- 29 more than second-place California." What do you guys think? Will Southern Cal win the conference again in 2006?

I can't give it to a team that lost its entire backfield...just can't bring myself to do it. Here is the whole list.

I have to agree with Lefty on a point written about in a different forum. The Trojans have lost some major talent. I don't think they will be as dominant as they used to be. I'm looking at CAL being #1, Ducks #2, and the Trojans #3.

I just don't see them dropping to 3rd...even with the lost backfield...and Iam taking the Ducks over Cal
