Are the Southern Cal Trojans the only BCS Bowl contenders in the Pac-10?

According to ESPN.com's Mark Schlabach, "The Trojans have to replace four NFL first-round draft picks from a team that blasted Illinois in the Rose Bowl. But no other Pac-10 team seems capable of ending the Trojans' run of six consecutive conference titles." Do you agree?

Yes, USC Trojans are BCS contenders every year until either Pete Carroll leaves or the ongoing NCAA investigation punishes USC for cheating for all the booster money Reggie Bush received while playing at USC. I have been very suspicious of USC for years but whatever they are doing, is flying under the radar of the NCAA.

Oregon took the first step last year beating the Trojans after losing to them 4 straight times. If the Ducks stay healthy, I will give the Ducks another shot at beating them on the road in late November! To win the PAC 10 in this era, you firstly have to beat USC and/or lose to USC...beat every other PAC 10 team and hope USC stumbles a lot...which hasn't happened in years.

ASU is clearly atleast a competetor this year. The Sun Devils last year had a 10-3 record and their running back Keegan Herring average 5.3 yards per carry and totaling 815 rushing yards. Not only do they have him but they have the back-up powerful running back Dimitri Nance. On top of having one of the best running games in the Pac-10 they have the most expierenced quarterback in the Pac-10, Rudy Carpenter.

They also have a decent line too. The only real problem I can see is defensive back, such as pass protection. However all in all I would say they are deffenitley atleast contenders.
