You probably did not see it unless you’re a USC fan or happened to be watching Fox Sports Net late Saturday night, but in a touching moment, the Trojans lined up for their first extra-point attempt against Idaho without a kicker, intentionally accepting the delay of game penalty in honor of Mario Danelo, USC’s much-beloved kicker the past two seasons, who died last January when he fell from a cliff near his hometown in San Pedro, Calif. The crowd at the Coliseum at first seemed confused but then began cheering when they figured out what had happened.
