So today, we find out who the USC Trojans will face in the Rose Bowl. Will it be Michigan? Florida? LSU? Well, all we do know right now is that the game will be held in Pasadena, California on Jan. 1 at 5:00pm, and that it will be televised on ESPN. Thoughts about the Trojans in the Rose Bowl?

I hope they have to play Michigan. I miss the days when it was the winner of the big10 and pac10 in the rose bowl.

I think they'll try and stick with the traditional match-up and select the Wolverines, but that's just a guess. Hope I'm right, though - if Michigan gets robbed out of the BCS title game, that is.

I THINK IT COULD BE EVEN CLOSER THAN THAT. IT COULD REALLY GO EITHER WAY, BUT I REALLY DON'T THINK THAT MANY POINTS WILL BE SCORED IN THIS GAME.

No. 8/7 USC, making an unprecedented fifth straight BCS bowl appearance, takes on No. 3 Michigan in the 93rd Rose Bowl in a classic Pac-10/Big Ten matchup. It's the third Rose Bowl trip in the past 4 years for both teams. It will be a battle of the winningest Rose Bowl team (USC) against the winningest college football team (Michigan). These also are the top 2 teams in Rose Bowl appearances, as USC is playing in a record 31st Rose Bowl and Michigan in its 20th. The Rose Bowl stadium has been USC's home away from home, as this will be Troy's 47th game there (but the first time it has played there back-to-back).

Jarrett and Smith are all well and good, but don't forget the Michigan has arguably the best cover corner in the country in Leon Hall, and that the UCLA game proved that Booty could not handle pressure. Michigan will provide plenty of pressure in this one, and quite simply, I think they want it more. Give me the Wolverines by 10.

Michigan laid an egg, no doubt about it. But the Big Ten a joke? Puh-leeze. How about Penn State and Wisconsin downing two teams from the self-proclaimed toughest conference in the nation? Ask Tennessee and Arkansas if the Big Ten's a joke.

There were no Heismans or national titles up for grabs in this one for Southern California. It was hard to tell, though, given the way Dwayne Jarrett, John David Booty and that suffocating USC defense played.
