USC NFL Prospects To Watch vs. ND

Over at the Great Blue North Report (a tremendous site for info on the NFL Draft), they're coverage of this weeks NCAA Game of the Week brings us to the Trojans and Irish. They give a detailed report of how the game could impact the draft as there are plenty of NFL-caliber players on both teams.

Here's a look at some of Southern Cal's potential NFL players:

"...if the Trojans have a major impact on the upcoming draft it will likely be through star juniors like WR Dwayne Jarrett (6-4, 210) who appears a lock to be a top 15 pick this year, along with OT Sam Baker (6-5, 305) and DE Lawrence Jackson (6-5, 265), although neither of the latter two are better than 50-50 to enter this year’s draft. Same for junior QB John David Booty (6-3, 195) who has done a nice job after taking over from Matt Leinart but still needs more seasoning, while junior RB Chauncey Washington (6-0, 205) would be a bit of a sleeper at the 2007 draft if he left school early which he very well might after struggling with the books the past several years."

"Meanwhile, USC will also send several seniors to this year’s draft including veteran WR Steve Smith (6-2, 195), C Ryan Kalil (6-3, 286), and LBs Dallas Sartz (6-5, 220) and Oscar Lua (6-1, 240)."

Re: USC NFL Prospects To Watch vs. ND

Hope the scouts are watching Smith and Jarrett tomorrow.

The way I see it, both of them should have huge games against a questionable Notre Dame secondary.
