| Re: USC Trojans at Oregon Ducks (5) USC at (10) OregonSouthern Cal-Oregon Preview While the Pac-10 champion won't be crowned in Saturday's top-10 matchup at Oregon, Southern California's conference title hopes would all but end with a loss. The fourth-ranked Trojans look to stay in the hunt for an eighth consecutive league title and shore up some defensive breakdowns when they visit the 10th-ranked Ducks and their prolific offense. In less than two months, Oregon (6-1, 4-0) has made a season that could have become defined by an embarrassing loss at Boise State -- and LeGarrette Blount's infamous punch -- into one with a chance to win its first Pac-10 title since 2001. Riding a six-game winning streak, the Ducks, off to their best conference start since opening the 2000 season with seven straight league wins, stand alone atop the Pac-10. Their lead is hardly safe. USC (6-1, 3-1) and Arizona are tied for second, and either team could take the conference crown by winning out. "Our conference is as tough right now, as I'm seeing it, as I've ever seen," USC coach Pete Carroll said. "The team that makes it through it on top is going to be really good." USC Trojans vs. Oregon Ducks Preview, October 31 2009 - NCAA College Football - ESPN Ok everybody, here is my very very biased Prediction: Ducks 31 USC 17 Anybody disagree and like the Trojans to win?

| Re: USC Trojans at Oregon Ducks Tenth-ranked Ducks hand Trojans worst loss since '97 EUGENE, Ore. -- Jeremiah Masoli threw for 222 yards and a touchdown and ran for 164 more yards with another score and No. 10 Oregon ran past No. 4 Southern California 47-20 Saturday night, the Trojans' worst loss since 1997. Redshirt freshman LaMichael James ran for 183 yards and a score as the Ducks (7-1, 5-0 Pacific-10) racked up 391 yards on the ground against the Trojans, who came into the game with the fifth-best rush defense in the nation, allowing an average of just 79.9 yards a game. Southern California (6-2, 3-2) had not lost a game by more than a touchdown since a 27-16 loss to Notre Dame in 2001, Pete Carroll's first season as Trojans coach. It was USC's worst lost since a 35-7 defeat to Arizona State on Oct. 11, 1997 and the most points allowed by the Trojans in Carroll's tenure. Oregon remained alone in first and undefeated in the Pac-10, threatening USC's hold on the league championship for the past seven years.
