I have to say this is a huge game in the PAC 10 race going into week 5. Loser of this game has 2 big losses in the PAC 10 and can kiss the PAC 10 title goodbye. Hey, these are the type of games USC rarely loses and after Pete Carroll watching the Ducks vs Bears game film, his defense must be excited.

I expect a Trojan victory here but will be rooting for the Bears.

USC Trojans lead Cal Bears 10 - 0 after 1 quarter. Cal just went 3 and out to punt to the Trojans to start quarter number 2. Sounds like Bears starting off like they did last week, behind.

Trojans up 20 - 0 at the Half. California cannot do anything on offense as Bear QB Riley is 10-23 130 yards and an interception. Best only has 20 yards rushing.

3rd Qtr UPDATE: Trojans lead 23-0. Trojan's offense hasn't did a whole lot in the 2nd half but neither has Cal Bears. Trojan defense dominating the Bears who has only scored 3 points in the last 7 quarters. Amazing.

Final: USC 30 California 3.

California Bears have been shut down offensively for the second week in a row only scoring 6 points in last 8 quarters. Trojan defense did a great job and QB Barkley didn't turn the ball over. Although, I think the Trojans will lose at least once more this season, until somebody beats them for the PAC 10 crown they are still the team to beat.

The only real challenge that SC will face is up in Oregon. They can't seem to win in that state.

Thankfully, towards the end of this game ABC finally switched us over to catch the end of the Oklahoma-Miami game.
