UCLA's spring practice is ending as the season did in 2007 -- with quarterbacks Patrick Cowan and Ben Olson injured.

Both were carted off the field during practice Thursday, with their status to be determined. It was an eerie reminder of last season, when the Bruins were forced to shuffle quarterbacks because of injuries.

This is unbelievable. Either it's bad, bad luck or this is the most fragile QB corps in the history of football.

From what the AP is reporting this morning, "Cowan, who edged Olson out for the No. 1 job this spring, will be sidelined for an indefinite period with ligament and cartilage damage. Olson, a 25-year-old slowed by injuries throughout his long college career, is expected to be out for six to eight weeks... Junior college transfer Kevin Craft, redshirt freshman Chris Forcier and converted wide receiver Osaar Rasshan will share the quarterback duties in the Bruins’ camp-ending scrimmage Saturday night at the Rose Bowl."
