Rick Neuheisel is the new head football coach of the UCLA Bruins. According to the Associated Press, "Neuheisel, who quarterbacked the Bruins to victory in the 1984 Rose Bowl and later served as an assistant under Terry Donahue, was hired Saturday as his alma mater's 16th coach... The 46-year-old Neuheisel succeeds Karl Dorrell, who was fired Dec. 3 after five seasons on the job." Good hire by the Bruins, or does he bring too much baggage?

I don't think it's a bad hire. Yes, he has had his share of his problems but he is a proven winner every where he went. If he can go there and win and not cause any problems, then it's def worth it.

I knew I heard the name before. I had to google him. He is the coach that got the bum deal in Washington. He was fired for participating in a NCAA pool at work. He was a good coach while at U of W, and made them relevent. He should be OK with the Bruins

See, I'm not sure I like it. He has 66 wins, but at the same time, he netted over 30 rules violations between Colorado and Washington.

I cant remember then. Did he get canned for the pool he was in, or did the rules violations do him in and the pool was the final straw?

The pool was said to be the final straw. He had come into Washington with a rep already, from his actions as Buffaloes coach.
