Source: former Giants coach up for UCLA job

Jim Fassel, former head coach of the New York Giants, is a surprise candidate for the UCLA Bruins coaching job, according to NFL sources. Fassel, who was born in Anaheim, coached the Giants from 1997-to-2003 and helped lead lead the team to the 2000 Super Bowl. -- FoxSports.com

Fassell, eh? Well, he was a good coach - took a lot of heat for things that weren't necessarily his fault. I figured it's only a matter of time before he returns to coaching, and doing so on the college level might not be such a terrible idea. Then again, does he have any experience at all working in the NCAA?

per wikipedia, he began as an asst. coach at utah st. and stanford before going to the pro level..

Well then, I can't see any reason for this not to happen. Good hire for the Bruins, IMO.
