LOS ANGELES (AP) -- UCLA coach Karl Dorrell may be on the hot seat, but he's not squirming. With the Bruins' once-promising season crumbling under a deluge of injuries and inconsistency, Dorrell's job apparently is in peril. He's still going about business as usual -- trying to get a win. "Our players, they want to play, they want to win, regardless of what's being said and my status," Dorrell said Monday. "There's no control over that, anyway. We can't control any of those things that are being said or talked about. The only thing we can do is play better football and get ourselves a victory.
"That's really what our concern is right now, to try to keep our focus on those things. I can't do anything about that rather than to coach hard, and our staff continue to build on our improvement and get ourselves back in the win column."
