Bruins vs. BYU Cougars

This should be a real fun game to watch. UCLA rolled over Stanford in their season opener, getting five touchdown passes out of QB Ben Olsen in a 45-17 victory. Meanwhile, BYU's Max Hall threw for 288 yards and two touchdowns in his debut, leading the Cougars to a 20-7 win over Arizona last Saturday. I fully expect to see the football flying all over the place in this one. Which offense will outpass, and ultimately outlast, the other? Can they Bruins shut down the Brigham Young offense?

Re: Bruins vs. BYU Cougars

The Bruins took home a 27-17 win over the Cougars on Saturday.

According to the Associated Press, "Chris Markey ran for a late touchdown, Trey Brown returned an interception 56 yards for a score and the No. 13 UCLA defense held off a second-half BYU rally Saturday night for a 27-17 victory... Kahlil Bell also ran for a touchdown in the first half to help the Bruins open the season with two victories and stop an 11-game BYU winning streak."

Re: Bruins vs. BYU Cougars

Not a shocker here. I once someone ask LaVell Edwards if he was recruiting anyone that had both speed and and good hands...and he said, if they had both, they probably be playing at USC or UCLA not BYU.

I think that recruiting bit still holds. How was Max Hall anyway?

Not too shabby, except for the interception.
