USC vs. UCLA

The Bruins are all that stands between USC and the BCS title game. I bet UCLA would love nothing more than to play the spoiler here. But can they? After all, the Trojans looked awful impressive against Notre Dame on Saturday. Who wins this clash of Pac-10 rivals?

Re: USC vs. UCLA

Bruins are doing a job on the Trojans so far in the USC vs. UCLA game.

2nd quarter & it's 7-2 with UCLA leading. John David Booty just has not been able to get time to set up in the pocket today. UCLA rush has stopped USC on their 1st 5 drives.

I smell upset...UCLA is playing great. USC looks a bit down...and how in the world could they not be pumped?

Re: USC vs. UCLA

That was a hell of a game out of the UCLA defense. They completely made Jarrett a non-factor, and their blitz schemes totally had Booty confused. The Trojans were flat, though. Except for that brief bit after the big hit on the Bruin QB, they just seemed like they had no spark. When you can't get up for a game against your arch-rivals, especially when a win sends you to the BCS Championship, then you don't deserve to win the game. Congrats to UCLA - now we'll have to wait and see if its Michigan or Florida facing OSU for the title.

If Florida wins the SEC (good game right now), I can't imagine the BCS giving us the Ohio State vs Mich. rematch. After the USC melt down, and considering the way Florida is playing right now, why shouldn't they get the bid?

IF Florida wins the SEC. Big if. Plus they have a bit of ground to catch up in the BCS. I imagine the voters would try to swing it, but first things first. Gators have to take care of business and beat the Razorbacks. Last I saw, they were trailing.

Yea, I'm flipping between that one and the Rutgers vs WVU game. Thats why I started the sentence with "if".

Bruins End Trojans National Championship Hopes with 13-9 Victory

Step aside, Trojans. Your chase for the national championship is over. A quarterback who didn't know he was starting until three days before UCLA played Southern California and a vastly improved defense combined to knock USC out of the BCS title game Saturday as the Bruins stunned their crosstown rivals 13-9.
