The Toronto Star, of course, ran pictures of the infamous hit on peca by Tucker, just to you know stir the pot. But Tucker is quoted as saying,
"We've talked about it in a roundabout way and if I could take a mulligan, i would have taken one."
Peca says he has forgiven him in his heart. Blah. But he says he did that a long time ago.
Mentioned also in that article, is how Peca was the one who slashed Sundin's hand in the first game of that series and broke it, and likely cost the Leafs a chance at the Cup.
So - it's called karma.
Anyway, Peca takes #27, his number as well as following in the skating grooves of Sittler and Frank Mahovlich.

No. the way i read it is, He wishes things had turned out differently. he's not satan - Tucker doesn't want somebody to go down and not come up again. For crying out loud, there are alot of hits in hockey and some of them end up with the guy hurting - how come Tucker seems to be the only one you've taken notice of?
Anyway, if Peca has "forgiven him in (his) heart", Pundit, so should you.
