good luck tonight blue. It's a crucial game for the sabres but you guys have to win. Sabres can move into 8th if im not mistaken. Hope you guys win. Ya know, secretly i hoped we'd have a leafs habs playoff series because that would be the ultimate. throw gasoline onto the old rivalry and see who comes out on top. I sincerely believe that if Montreal were to finish first in the east and the boys in blue and white 8th, I'd be very scared right now. You guys are a good club when you want to be. Just wait till next year. The ferguson scandal and the sundin trade rumours amongst other things killed the morale in that dressing room and i think leaf fans have a right to be furious. in actuality, i hate the leafs being a HAB fan but i feel sorry for such a talented team that couldn't get it together. Leafs will be in next year or my name isn't Clint Eastwood.

honestly, it's sort of agreed upon in our house that we want the habs to go all the way if the Leafs don't get in. habs are never a dirty team, always classy.
I'd love to see a Canucks-Habs finale. wouldn't know who to go for, then.

I have to agree.
2-0 at the end of the first and it's been loaded with penalties called on toronto - 4 in a row - I guess he refs didn't see Stajan being tripped somewhere in the middle there, and I must say, Ponikarovsky's penalty for tripping - he was just playing the puck.
but we made it through 20.
talk to everyone tomorrow - I'm getting popcorn and settling into the couch (my husband and the kids went with a neighbour who had four tickets to see the local OHL team play and they play good hockey- so I'm doing the NHL thing tonight on my own).

we pulled it off - 4-1, and that second period was rife with penalties - so no complaining from sabres fans that they had rotten calls, cause it all went Buffalo's way - even a couple sessions of 2-man advantages.
Except they couldn't get it past the defence or Toskala.
Stajan also had an amazing game.
Now whether this makes a difference, as Philly and Washington both won, who knows. Buffalo didn't look that hot or hungry out there- but the leafs did - when they weren't in the box.
