Buffalo tonight and Pony's back

Ponikarovsky has amazed his teammates - they say he is super human.
he separated his shoulder in a game 3 weeks ago vs. Washington - the same evening a Darryl Boyce did the same.
Boyce had to have an operation and is gone for the season. Pony's back tonight.
A quote from Ponikarovsky:
"It's not really normal maybe. Some guys are saying maybe it's a Chernobyl thing," Ponikarovsky said after the team's game-day skate here this morning.
Maurice says:
"He is an unusual man. He was lifting weights three days after the injury. We were all very, very surprised at his strength and so were the doctors."
Pony missed 7 games in all -he says he just probably wasn't hurt as badly as Boyce, or others in the same situation.
If he's super human, here's hoping he shows it vs. the sabres - we could use it.

he can't even score goals (lately and I mean pre separated shoulder).
glad to see they are keeping their sense of humour (while all those around them lose theirs).

Ouch!...Hey, if they don't have your health and humor what do you have?

See, maybe the Radio Active Power should have been more like the chemical spill that gave Daredevil heighten senses...he might need heighten senses to find the net, no?

There is always that possibility - if we lived in the Marvel Universe.
I will cross my fingers, nonetheless (find the back of the net, find the back of the net, find the back of the net...)

Re: Buffalo tonight and Pony's back

It was a loss- but it was a good loss (is that possible?). 1-0.
Both goalies were great, and the team very easily shut down Buffalo's power play.
I was proud of them. We're not going to make the playoffs but i was still proud of them. This was a decent exciting game and the goalies were both allowed to shine.
Sundin turned 37 yesterday. Too bad the win didn't top off the day.
Sabres' Gaustud scored the only goal.
Exciting last few minutes too when campbell ended up in the box. but Leafs couldn't find the back of the net - no matter how hard i said it in my head.

Re: Buffalo tonight and Pony's back

wow talk about a great game
now blueandwhite r u sure the maple leafs are out for good?
i personally think its still to early to say that but whether they dont or not, it wuz a GREAT game nonetheless
miller has been absolutely phenomenal lately, and his great play is one of the main reasons we are now in 7th place
paille's work for that goal could not have been ne better either, and the shot by gaustad? right over the left shoulder. awesome.
8-0-2 now in 10 games. and to think they also had a 10 game winless streak. lets just hope this one keeps rolling, and quite frankly, i think it will. the sabres have found what it takes to win every night or at least get a point. they have found chemistry, they are more physical, and miller has turned on when it has been most important. GO SABRES!!

Re: Buffalo tonight and Pony's back

That was a good game. I only got to see the 3rd period, but it was a blast.

Both teams put on a good show, from what I saw. I got the TSN feed on the NHL network!
