"Speaking after the Leafs practice today, Sundin said he will listen to Fletcher - who plans a meeting with Sundin and agent JP Barry - but that he won't be influenced to waive the clause and agree to a trade out of town that would land the Leafs much needed prospects and draft picks.
"I can talk to Cliff and I'm sure he has all kinds of things to talk to me about, but it won't change my position," Sundin said before the Leafs jetted off to Carolina for a game tomorrow night against the Hurricanes.
Fletcher said during Tuesday's 3-2 loss to St. Louis that he would be meeting with Sundin - likely sometime in early February - to broach the subject of a trade....
Sundin today refused to budge from his stance - one that he's adopted for more than a year now - and welcomed both the meeting with Fletcher and daily questions from the media about whether or not he plans to waive his no trade clause."

I tell you - they let him go and I'm going to be pissed. But like I said last thread, it rests with him - and he's made his stance known. God love 'im.

Well she has all those tatoos...which I think take away from her looks a lot...and they say she has an eating disorder...but that is all I know...I am not sure what else she has added on.

When I was a lad, I was devastated when the Yankees traded my favorite player, Bobby Murcer for Bobby Bonds in 1975.

But then, in 1976 they turned Bobby Bonds into Mickey Rivers and Ed Figeuera who both played a huge role in the following:

77&78 World Series wins.

So what's more important to you, Blue, keeping your favorite player or winning the Stanley Cup?

you make a good point.
I think, if - when he does go, it will be sad. he's been the leafs for so long and there is just nothing wrong with the guy. but then you move on, don't you? I used to hate the Devils and then mogilny came over and he was my most favourite leaf the whole time he was here.
sundin has dedicated his career to Toronto. We owe him more than all this cheap talk (and driving him crazy with questions about it day after day) about leaving/being traded. It's so hard for toronto fans and media to just say, Leave it - it happens when it happens. so much frigging hype.
wherever Sundin does go, if he goes somewhere else, i will always have a tiny cheer for that team - unless it's Ottawa - but he would never do that to us.

One can argue that both Rivers and Figeuera where not a great big piece of the puzzle...the Yankees brought in Hunter and Reggie Jackson, Guidry developed etc...and I am not so sure that Bonds was not Rivers equal at leadoff...could steal and run like Rivers but with a lot more pop in the bat...as for Ed, he played on a good team...

Murcer though, never got back to the form he had in 1971-1972...so from that point...they were better off....

Keep Sudin blueandwhite girl, he is a piece of the puzzle, not the problem...

That's how I feel - where's the guarantee that when we get rid of Sundin then we win a Cup? he is cup material, but he hasn't had the support.
I say he should stay. they just don't listen to me.
