leafs lose

bright side? i have giguere in my hockey pool.
not so bright side?
see above. Leafs lost.
Toskala came back. maybe too early.
This was the Leafs' first appearance in Anaheim since Nov. 13, 2003 -- and only their second since March 11, 1998.
This was also their first shutout loss of the season.
5-0.
says Sundin: "The power play has been struggling for us all year for some reason. I really can't put my finger on it, other than the fact that we are making it complicated out there. We've got to simplify it -- shoot the puck and get it through to the net." It was the ninth time in 11 games that Toronto has been held to fewer than three goals.
Blah.

Re: leafs lose

I got to watch the third period of that game last night. The "Leafs TV" broadcast was on the NHL network last night. WOW. I was stunned to see them handled like that...

And now I see why folks have been down on Antropov. Lazy play and bad penalties.

I was really hoping for a good third period to see. I got home last night, and they were interviewing Pronger between the 2nd and 3rd, and I figured that would be a great way to pass the time, watching some great hockey.

I thought the Leafs announcers did a good job of being impartial, and honestly talking about the teams issues.

The Flyers broadcasters are such homers, it was refreshing to hear some honest commentary.

I think he is saying, "Toronto needs dumber players"...they are over thinking on ice...

Re: leafs lose

how interesting, Phils, to hear from a different perspective.
I think sometimes the broadcasters up here get criticized for being too pro Toronto, so they go the other way and hack them apart constantly.
it could have been a great game but Toronto forgot to play.
Hm, GDK - dumber players - i think I'm there.
Sundin probably deep down just wants to shake them and scream:
WHAT WERE YOU DOING?!
But he's too classy to do that, or to take them out like hatcher. i say, ext time Antropov does a stupid move - or any of them - i give Sundin permission to take them out. Or yell at them. One or the other.
