Cool Leafs destroy hungover Isles

The time to play the Islanders is a day after they play the Rangers. I think a minor league team could have beaten them last night.

But the Leafs did what hey had to do and won the game so they deserve credit.

Re: Leafs destroy hungover Isles

You didn't mention the score.
8-1.
Power play came together finally. raycroft actually won - and I heard the crowd cheered him sarcastically when he stopped a long dump-in for the first stop of the game.
And yes what a wonderful game especially because of the landmark goals and points that Sundin achieved.
But the bummer is - and I have been waiting since last season into this one to watch Sundin pass sittler's most goals and most points as a Leaf - it was on digital TV which is much more expensive than the basic package so i don't have it and I MISSED it.
Damn you, Leafs TV. So smug the day after you got to televise the big event, even though a much worthier network deserved it. I was so mad when i saw the paper this morning.
I wanted so much to see sundin do it. Now I have to watch the sports coverage on tsn - not the same.
Congrats Sundin you rock, but wow - am i disappointed i couldn't be there.

Re: Leafs destroy hungover Isles

CBC, CTV, TSN, Sportsnet are all regular networks and I don't have to pay extra to watch the leafs and they've had the leafs games for years. CBC has had hockey night in canada since the beginning of time and that is where hockey should be.
Maybe that doesn't seem like the Better network, any one of them, maybe this is what you call 'progress' but I hate my hockey being put into a grouping where i have to pay more to watch it. Like the Leafs? then give us money.
We've discussed this, right? It's my right as a Canadian and as a Toronto fan.
This is extortion. And Leafs TV just keeps getting more games every year.

We have touched upon it...I guess you can Socialize hockey...and run it on a State funded network and offer it as a Canadian right...I mean, a person can win an election with that promise right?

Re: Leafs destroy hungover Isles

You are DAMN right. I'd vote for that party...unless it was the NDP.
