2nd loss to Sens is Leafs fault

It was another decent game, and I cannot criticize the leafs for bad play - but I will criticize them for stupid penalties that put them in the box again and again and finally, the Sens scored the winner. Inevitable.
leafs looked sharp and Toskala too. I enjoyed it as much as I can enjoy a Sens - leafs game (have i mentioned that i hate the Senators?).
Mats has now tied Sittler's all time high leafs goal tally (389) and we await the moment Sundin surpasses it. he looks happier this year.
and that means I'm happy.
Unofficially, we scored in the 2nd but it was waved off as the refs said Blake interfered with Gerber. They are saying this season will see tougher penalties on interfering with goaltenders - this bugs me. Goalies are too often treated like princesses sitting on mattresses - they need to be able to take some rattling. I'm not talking ridiculous but watching the replay last night (over and over), gerber was still on his play and still kept his eye on the puck, all the way into his net.
They aren't divas. they are hockey players with lots of padding.

Re: 2nd loss to Sens is Leafs fault

short.
ha ha.
He looks good. it's just been 2 games, but he is on the Sundin line with antropov, and he looks short (really) and fast.
he goes to the net great. he got the goal that was called back because of interference with gerber- whatever. that seems to be his specialty - not interference but getting in the crease, positioning himself to score.
I like him.

Yeah - sittler did it in a lot less games, but Mats is one of the greatest leaf players ever.
