Patrick Marleau says he wants to stay with the Sharks, but there have been rumours that he might be traded.
And one of those rumours includes Toronto.
There are other teams cited: Montreal, Ottawa and the Islanders.


This is looking forward, to replace Mister Sundin.
If Marleau was to fall through, rumours are actually abounding about Ottawa's Jason Spezza. he's a RFA in '08.
That's if Ottawa doesn't sign him. We'll see the kind of season he had but chances are, he's a Senator for some time. they don't want to let one of their heroes go.

That's very true - but that was said when we loved him.
Not that we don't anymore, but the love affair is growing cold, i think. not getting into the playoffs was something we fans don't appreciate.

I still love the guy...if we don't see the postseason this year I think there's a problem yes, but is it Sundin's? No? He still shines and he still produces...if we dump him then we'll only fall further imo

I think JFJ would be stupid to trade Sundin, he's a HUGE fan favorite and always will be. JFJ will do what Sundin wants to do.

I'd love to see Spezza in a Leaf uniform, but I doubt that very much that the Senators will let him get the far.

Blue, where did you read about the Islanders being interested in Marleu? I haven't been able to find anything on it. Greg Logan hasn't even mentioned it in his blog.
