Bad loss. It would have been nice to have gone into Buffalo - especially with circumstances as they are re Tucker/Hecht - and beat them hands down even though we are out of the playoffs. but circumstances maybe made it not so - we played less than 24 hours before, we played in Buff and we never win there, we lost out in playoffs in bid even after a grand win over the Sens - excuses, yes but maybe I'll let them have it this time. It was so hard to watch them and feel excited, I can't imagine what it was like to play and feel inspired.
The whole Tucker thing came up again, after Briere's comments a few weeks back re Tucker and the gang hitting the golf course. Some goon named peters made a teeing off motion at Tucker.
Cheap. I hate it but to tell the truth if one of the Leafs had done it to Alfredsson under different circumstances (ie we were #1 and the Sens were out), I probably would have thought Yeah. So i can't ***** too much. We are out, and honestly, Tucker and the rest will be hitting the links.
Still, i don't think I'll be rooting for the Sabres post season. i'm going to watch a pile of first round games, see who I like.
There's a quote from Tucker in the Globe, which makes me happy he's on my team all over again:
