| Leafs last chance? It's mind boggling, the way the numbers work. Or just hard to wrap your head around at 620 in the morning.
the paper this morn says:
Montreal won last night so Tampa bay is the only team the leafs can catch right now. and that prospect will evaporate if leafs lose in regulation time tonight vs Fla, and the Lightning gain one against Atlanta, or the Lightning win and the Leafs get only one point. Regulation loss means leafs have 4 more games and 82 points so most we could attain is 90 points. Canadiens got their 91st point last night, and Lightning will end up with same number with win tonight. with an overtime or shootout loss, the lightning would be at 90 points but would gain 8th place over leafs with 42 wins...
help. my brain needs coffee.
so i'm depressed. It all comes down to this. I thought we were closer, or was fooling myself.
In other news, O'Neill talks about quitting, and how pissed he is that Carolina is doing so well now he's gone. Tucker wants to convince him not to retire.
And the best buy for the Leafs this summer? Elias. apparently, we have $$$ to spare.
and Flyers Gauthier got a two game suspension for hitting Wellwood from behind. justice. |
