leafs sign Nikolai Kulemin

3 year entry level. He was unselected in 2004 and went undrafted until 2006 - auspicious beginnings indeed. Leafs picked him 44 overall-he had a good world juniors and played on a line with a guy called evgeni malkin.
he was named rookie of the year last year in the Russian elite league and was a finalist as MVP with 10 goals in 15 playoff games.
he'll be here for training camp, then chances are we send him back to russia to get even better.
That's the biggest news for the leafs today.

Huh?...got to go look for his rookie card...is he at least better than the brittle Russian you now have?

Sounds like the kid might have a future. I mean, if he's even half as good as Malkin turned out to be, that ain't half bad.
