sabres beat leafs 3-1

I like the headline in the paper: Curses Foiled Again.
We can't win in Buffalo. Good game, though - great game, really. the 3rd goal was an empty net, so closer than you think. It was a stupid move by Antropov (trade his tall and skinny butt please) that gave the Sabres the winner.
Our record since the sabres started at HSBC Arena in '96 is 4-14-3. We had to listen to the game on the radio because again it was broadcast on digital tv, and if you didn't know it, you would've thought the teams were playing in Toronto - huge amount of fans travel down the road to watch the Leafs in lovely Buffalo.
But woohoo the isles lost too.

Moral victory maybe?...gee suddenly I feel bad for that mantra I wrote...but the feeling will pass shortly...

should also mention, o'neill was a healthy scratch again. You may ask, O'Neill who? he used to play for a team called carolina. Admitted, he's had his personal problems but he is ghostlike these days - even moreso, when he sits in the spectator seats.

How does that fit into the moral victory part?...so like I should dump his hockey cards or something?...is that what you are saying...give the word and he's listed on e-bay

No I was on a different thought, not paying attention to the rhythm of the conversation, sorry about that.
a moral victory? No. there is no more room for moral victories. just a big fat loss.
