Leafs beat Edmonton, 4-3

Sole possession of the 8th playoff spot now belongs to the blue and white.
They are saying the Leafs were inspired by the tribute to the players from the 66/67 last Stanley cup winning team and the appearance of an up-till- now absent keon - who received a standing ovation.
Whatever it takes, man.
It wasn't the leafs all over the oilers. It was a good game. I have a soft spot for the Oilers after last year. I love the way Smyth plays and I think Roloson is one of the best in net.
but nyah nyah we did better.
Pohl and Sundin (7th goal in the last 10 games for the clean shaven swede) both scored twice. Nice.
There was a bad spot, a penalty shot for Mr. pouliot after Colaiacovo made a bad trip on possible goal attempt. then Carlo looks innocent and almost upset that the call was made. my mother saw that call a mile away.
We're in 8th, we're in 8th.......

See we at Columbus can't even muster up that pitiful cheer...we are sooo not ranked...we are so not ranked!...We can only say, "We are one step ahead of the Kings and we can lick the Flyers!"...which really isn't much of a chant...

Re: Leafs beat Edmonton, 4-3

take whatever you can, when you can.
you know - I'm kind of embarrassed that is what i am so proud of - 8th. i would like to strive for higher, be proud of better - but these are the cards i have been dealt.
also, this will be a short lived dance. Unless toronto starts to really mean it.
