leafs on the final stretch, tucker in plaster

Tucker showed up for practice yesterday - with a cast on his left foot.
He was, supposedly, ready to play tomorrow. But when he stopped by the doctor's for some minor elbow surgery, they decided to put a cast on his foot as well.
He is still the leaf's top scorer. This tiny bone fracture is one big pain.
So Wellwood's out for 8 weeks, defencemen White and Wozniewski are ready to come back very soon, and Tucker's gone for - well, who knows? hard to believe the talk when they kept telling us, oh NEXT game. Maurice is saying, "At least a week and hopefully not much longer than that". That's inspiring. I also hope I don't catch a cold over the next few weeks, and for world peace too.

A fun quote in the paper - Justin Pogge is our hope for the future in the net and he now plays for the Marlies. He's 20, and it looks like his appearance in the NHL has been projected to the fall of 2008. He's also felt more pressure after we traded away our other hope, Tukka Rask.
he says:
"I want to make the Leafs just as bad as anybody else wants me to make the Leafs. That's what lights the fire under my ass."
So that's what we need to do to make the team play like they want it.

Good way to start, too. Leafs 4, canadiens 1.
What kind of night sees Kubina get 3 points - and two of those points are goals?
Crazy.
My fantasy team suffers when Souray is held pointless and huet loses big time, but these are the sacrifices I must make when i want the leafs to win.
Oh and someone named Sundin scored too.
Bring on the playoffs...
Tight, here in the east. We have to beat the lslanders, the penguins, the rangers, the caps, boston - when we do play them. That is how we will push them down as we rise.
raycroft looked mighty last night.
