Peca says weeks, not months, Wellwood has setback

Peca says of course it depends on his rehab and how well that goes, but he says he will be back in a matter of weeks, not months - and there is no question he will be back this season.
Nice to hear the positive spin, especially when the rest of them seem to be spiraling downward.
Seems Wellwood's groin/hip flexor injury is worse than expected-he can't even skate yet. Word was "he'll be there next game-oh maybe not, but he'll be there next game"
Ponikarovsky is following the set schedule to return in 1 or 2 weeks.
But here's the surprise: Tucker's mysteriously injured. He took "a puck to an undisclosed part of his body" during Tuesday's win over the Wild.
Maurice says there is "an 85 to 90 per cent chance he'll play tomorrow" night vs. the Penguins.
How did he come up with that number?

Cool Re: Peca says weeks, not months, Wellwood has setback

How can a someone break their league and tear an ACL and be back in weeks? Are they going to put "bionics" in his leg?

I know-I think he's doing the mind game-positive spin thing.
Nice to hear, whether we are deluded or not.

I got three words for the Leafs..."Lloyd's of London"...they will insure anything...even a crippled 1st line...

Maurice is now talking up the abilities of Aubin - the romance between him and Raycroft may be over - unless aubin blows it.

I don't see the difference between the two...the numbers have Raycroft a bit ahead...but he also has had 4 games of 5 or more goals given up. Aubin though is a career back up...to give him the nod is to throw the towel on things I think.

I like Peca a lot. But he's very brittle.

Could be - but it looked nastier. maybe a less brittle player (like Tucker, maybe) would have just skated away from it.
