According to the Mitchell Report, Gregg Zaun purchased steroids from Kirk Radomski in 2001. He was linked to him by Jason Grimsley when the two played for the Royals.

Evidence of a check sent by Zaun is included in the report. Radomski says the check was for deca-durabolin and winstrol and he shipped them to the Royals clubhouse.

Also, in 2002, Luis Perez (bullpen catcher for Expos) said he personally gave anabolic steroids to Zaun and other major leaguers.

Post above rather ignorant. I am/was a big fan of Greg Zaun. Greg Zaun also made a nice transition to the broadcasting booth when the Jays did not make the playoffs once again. His attempt got very good reviews. Dont think it will be seen the same anymore - credibility greatly reduced. I am very dissapointed.

Anyway, I agree with you about the credibility. A lot of people have lost some.

How will Zaun be treated by fans after this report? I believe he's slated to start for the Jays next year, correct?

Yes, without a doubt Zaun will be the number one guy in 2008. He has earned and fought for that position regardless if he had taken steroids in the past. It would be his first offense and nothing will happen. Zaun plays with his heart and sole every game, and no one should ever question his integrity and creditability.
