Any word on Off-Season Jays rumors?

It saddens me to see the Jays fall 2 of 3 to the D Rays in their "do or die" situation they're in. AHH! So it seems that all, if any, post season hopes that lingered or completely gone...8.5 games behind the Yankees. We NEED to win this makeup game in Detriot...and sweep the Yanks to even have have chances at all...imo. If we only swept Tampa Bay...So, on that note, I feel the Jay's are missing one key element to they're team. They have the tools, solid pitching, good pen (Remember BJ Ryan will be back, which put Jeremy A in the middle relief) strong hitting, speed, youth. Even with the solid line up they cannot compete w/ the higher market teams w/o another big addition the the top half of the order. With Casey, Abreu, Clement, Colon, Dunn, Eckstein, Flloyd, GANGE!! etc. on the market we need to pick someone up. To me it's gotta be anther bat, then maybe a starter. What's the word north of the border. We don't get the Jay's rumor mill down in NC

They definitely need a starter. I haven't heard specifically who they may be looking for though.

As for a bat, I'm not sure either. I know they will be expecting their young guys to develop alongside Frank Thomas, Wells and Glaus. Speaking of Glaus, who knows if he will even be back after all the controversy.

Just heard one - it sounds like the Jays are looking to sign free agent Joe Kennedy. What do you think, good move?
