Vernon Wells may need surgery

According to the Associated Press, "Blue Jays outfielder Vernon Wells will undergo an MRI exam following the season to determine whether he needs surgery on his sore left shoulder... Batting coach Mickey Brantley said Wednesday that Wells has been bothered by tightness in his shoulder most of the season, blaming it for Wells' troubles this year." Wells is hitting just .265 right now. Do you think these shoulder troubles are legitimately to blame?

I don't know, but you have to believe that the Jays are kicking themselves for giving Wells that kind of money.
