| Toronto GM rips A.J. Burnett Blue Jays general manager J.P. Ricciardi ripped into pitcher A.J. Burnett on a Toronto radio station. Among his comments during the interview with TheFAN 590: "[Burnett's] going to have to get over that hump at some point and just maybe pitch through some pain or realize the difference between being hurt and really being hurt... There's a difference between being hurt and feeling some discomfort. Some guys have to learn to do that, some guys never do it... We're very happy he's here. We like him very much. When he pitches, he's great. We've just got to find a way to keep him out there more consistently. The frustrating thing is we didn't sign him to pitch 20 games."

| Re: Toronto GM rips A.J. Burnett Good to see him call out Burnett. Yanks should have done that with Pavano. Also, Ricciardi knows his job is going to be on the line soon if Toronto doesn't improve, so why not challenge the guy? Nothing to lose. |
