Blue Jays Offer Wells $120M+ The Toronto Blue Jays want to keep stud CF Vernon Wells and are making him an offer he may not be able to refuse. He would be a free agent at the end of the upcoming season and the Blue Jays know they need to keep him and offer him the bucks. Wells may not be able to get a deal like the one he's being offered now because there will be some nice CFs available along with him. According to Yahoo!, the offer may be worth over $120 Million for seven or eight years.

Re: Blue Jays Offer Wells $120M+ It's now official. The Blue Jays and Vernon Wells have agreed to an extension of 7-years and $126 million. Wells will have the option of becoming a free-agent (terminating the contract) after the 2011 season. He does have a complete no-trade clause. I've got to give major props to the Blue Jays for being able to keep their best young player. Kudos...

Re: Blue Jays Offer Wells $120M+ Do you think that Vernon Wells could be compared to Miguel Cabrera? He definitely is a immense contributor to his organization, as is Cabrera in relation to the Florida Marlins.

Re: Blue Jays Offer Wells $120M+ I'm shock that the Jays spend this kind of cash to any player and to be totally honest I wasn't much of a big fan of Wells until last year were is has change my mind , I believe his best years are coming , Its going to be interesting if they can get another solid pitcher now , Which they say they are going after , Look like now my cable bill will increase much higher
