AUSTIN - To the average college football fan, the Red Raiders-Longhorns football rivalry may not be as intense as the Texas Tech-Texas A&M or the Texas-Oklahoma rivalries. But don't tell that to Joan Strawn and her family.
Even when they don't have tickets for the game, as will be the case Saturday when the Red Raiders play the Longhorns at Royal Stadium in Austin, Strawn, her husband Mike and the couple's son, Caleb, will join thousands of Tech fans from Austin, Lubbock and across Texas to celebrate the game.
"We can't wait," the Austin resident said earlier this week. "We've been looking forward to this for a long time."
