Could Bobby Abreu be headed to play for the Texas Rangers? That's one rumor, but in a recent column, Jennifer Floyd Engel said she thinks it'd be a bad idea: "And, if Tex is able to return to his usual self, it will be like adding a Bobby Abreu without committing to a guaranteed $15 million in 2007 and probably another season at $16 million. Abreu has a no-trade clause, and his agent told espn.com that waiving that is contingent on a willingness to exercise that 2008 option." Do you agree?

More Texas Rangers trade rumors: Kevin Mench may be on his way out, says New York Newsday, and according to the Dallas Morning News, the Rangers may be one of the teams after Shea Hillenbrand of Toronto. Plus, they're still looking for pitching help. Any good rumors on that front?

Guess the Mench rumor was true since he was in the deal for Carlos Lee.

They still need pitching though if they plan on contending for a division title.

Wow, talk about cleaning house. Hey Lidge is a top tier closer, but Blalock for him?...This team has gotten rid of A-Rod, I-Rod, and Soriano...I would keep the young bat of Hank Blalock a while longer.
