Young got a 2 run triple in the 9th of the All-Star game...suprising, except this guy has one quiet great year after another...how does he rate among the elite?

He's one of the top players in the AL and the only reason he hasn't gotten much pub over the last few years is because...

a) He plays for Texas and for one of the quietest divisions in the game
b) He's not a flashy guy
c) Position switches from SS to 2b (or is it the other way around?)
d) Probably not the best player on his own team

But he's still a top player!

Yeah, it was a really clutch hit, especially when compared to the fact that the two "clutchest" hitters in the game ( Jeter and Ortiz) had gone a combined 0 for 6 on the night. The NL pitching was so dominating, Young did an incredible job ( Remember it was an 0-2 count with 2 outs!)
