The Texas Rangers have fired not only their pitching coach, Mark Connor, but also bullpen coach Dom Chiti. According to the Associated Press, "The Rangers came into Friday’s game with a 5.24 ERA, the worst in the American League... Andy Hawkins, who had been the pitching coach at Triple-A Oklahoma since 2006, will replace Connor. Jim Colborn, formerly the director of Pacific Rim operations, is the new bullpen coach." Interesting moves, but will it do any good? Seems like nothing Texas does to try to improve, pitching-wise, ever pays off. Why will this be any different?
