Re: Rangers trade for infielder Cruz

Another day, another Texas Rangers trade. This time the team sent pitcher Brian Shouse to the Brewers for infielder Enrique Cruz and a player to be determined. Shouse was 3-2 with a 5.23 ERA in 64 appearances for Texas last season but has been on the DL for all of 2006, while Cruz is hitting .261with one home run and 10 RBI in in 24 minor league games this season. Thoughts?

Neither guy is going to mean much to either team...one of those trades that is beyond the scope of the average fan I guess...

Yeah, this one's for the diehards out there.

Personally, I can't say that a .261 average with one home run and 10 RBI in in 24 minor league games impresses me too much, though. Seems like if he was a half-decent prospect, those numbers would be higher.
