Texas Rangers Free Agents

The Texas Rangers are a rebuilding team. They have a lot of holes to fill this off-season and have to work in some of their young players. Here's a look at their free-agents...

-SP Jamey Wright

-2B Jerry Hairston Jr.

-OF Sammy Sosa

They have their top guys signed long term (Padilla, Young, Blalock, and Millwood. Everyone else is still under their control contract wise). Some say the team will use 2008 to see who is a player and who is someone they need to get rid of. Whether they're players in free-agency remains to be seen (rumors of their interest in CF Tori Hunter).

The only significant guy they may lose to free agency is Sosa. But I don't know if they want him back anyhow.

Re: Texas Rangers Free Agents

Know, the general impression I got was that there's zero interest in resigning Sosa, since he's bound to lose his bargain basement price tag.
