Sammy Sosa on the trading Block

A Ranger's source tells ESPN's Buster Olney that they will attempt to trade Sammy Sosa Olney also said the Rangers will look for top prospect right away which they wont get because teams have down played Sosa's season because it was in Texas. The Rangers will get one or two decent prospects. And Sammy will go to someplace like LA(Dodgers)San Deigo or Arizona

Re: Sammy Sosa on the trading Block

Hmm, Sosa was heralded as one of the best bargains in baseball by Yahoo! over the weekend. He's only making like $500k for this season or some ridiculous number like that. Some pennant contender will bite, I have no doubt about that. And it's a good move for Texas, so they don't have to worry about signing him to a new, much larger deal next year. Plus they'll come away with some minor league talent in the process.

Huh?...wonder what Sammy thinks of it all?...getting traded to a contender might be nice for now...but odds are they won't sign him next year.

Texas probably wouldn't have, either, though. So why not try to get that ring now, while you still can?

Cool Re: Sammy Sosa on the trading Block

I'm surprised Minnesota or San Diego isn't interested. They're both looking for a bat, aren't they?

San Diego would make a ton of sense. They really need to add some bats to go with that excellent pitching.
