| Re: Best Ranger of all time Well, he pitched two no-hitters for them, earned his 300th win as a Ranger and beat the snot out of Robin Ventura in one of the best baseball brawls I've ever seen. Plus he was the last active player from the 1960s to retire. He posted a 2.91 ERA and had over 200 strikeouts at the age of 44 while in Texas. So, yeah, maybe that doesn't really qualify him to be the best player in the team's history, but those are some pretty impressive accomplishments.
