| Rangers prospect Thomas Diamond Texas Rangers pitching prospect Thomas Diamond, the 10th overall pick in the 2004 draft, will miss the entire season after undergoing elbow-ligament replacement surgery yesterday. According to the AP, "Diamond was the Rangers' minor league pitcher of the year in 2005... [and] last year, Diamond led the Double-A Texas League with 145 strikeouts and tied for the league lead with 12 wins, going 12-5 with a 4.24 ERA." Not good news for a team desperate to develop quality starters. |
