| Rangers Close to Signing SP Vincente Padilla The Rangers are close to signing SP Vincente Padilla according to Ken Rosenthal of Fox Sports. The proposed deal is likely to be three years and $34 million. He's a nice pitcher who as long as he can stay healthy, should improve. Would be a nice signing.      |

| Re: Rangers Close to Signing SP Vincente Padilla No, you're not. But this is the "Year of Stupid, Outrageously Expensive Signings", so the Rangers have decided to follow suit. Padilla is a pretty solid starter and has nice stuff, but there's no way he's worth anywhere near $10 million bucks a year. |
